Giving back.

Owning books is a privilege, so is getting to put StickHERS in them.

We want to help change that.

In low-income neighborhoods, there’s a ratio of one book for every 300 children.

In middle- and upper-income neighborhoods, the ratio is 13 books per child.

Handbook of Early Literacy Research 2006

We love reading — it’s so good for kids and emotionally rewarding for parents — but we know it’s a privilege to own books and have the time to read with kids.

We will be donating a percent of profit to independently run book and literacy programs that focus on helping disadvantaged kids and families. As we are a new company, we will update our community at the end of our first year in business on what we were able to donate, and to what organizations, and advise our plan going forward.

We’ve partnered with Better World Books, a founding B-Corp, which gives one book to someone in need for every book purchased. All our book recommendations link to Better World for purchase, and any money earned by us via affiliate links is donated back to them.

Our StickHERS family also celebrates National Reading Month with a day of service.
